For the first time, scientists have found a planet beyond the solar system that not only is the same size as Earth, but has the same proportions of iron and rock, a key step in an ongoing quest to find potentially habitable sister worlds.
Astronomers believe that they have found an invisible world after detecting a planet.
Five new exoplanets -- earth-size
planets in the habitable zone of sun-like stars -- have been
discovered by NASA scientists.
NASA’s Kepler mission, which would search for planets around other stars, is unlikely to detect any Earth-like exoplanets before 2011 due to an electronic glitch.
