A labourer in Gujarat's Una tehsil is fighting a losing battle to ensure that his obese children lead a normal and healthy life, so-much-so that to afford their expensive treatment he is willing to even sell his kidney off.
Amit Kumar, the alleged kingpin of an international kidney racket that came to light in 2008, has been put on trial by a Delhi court for allegedly violating foreign exchange act and stashing black money abroad.
Police on Saturday claimed to have
unearthed a kidney racket in the national capital with the arrest of a person who allegedly duped a man of Rs 50,000 as
advance money for arranging documents and a kidney donor.
