The BJP was on Friday set for a comfortable majority in the Lok Sabha. The Congress, India`s oldest political party which had ruled India for a decade since 2004 as the head of the UPA, appeared set for an unprecedented rout.
Narendra Modi appears all set to be the next Prime Minister with BJP likely to get a majority on its own, wresting power from Congress which is on the path of recording its worst ever performance in the Lok Sabha polls.
BJP was leading in all 25 Lok Sabha seats of Rajasthan where Congress stalwarts Sachin Pilot, Jitendra Singh, Chandresh Kumari, Namonarayan Meena, Girija Vyas and six sitting Congress MPs were trailing in 11 seats.
The SAD-BJP combine is leading on six seats out of 13 in Punjab while new entrant Aam Aadmi Party is set to create history as it is ahead on four seats as against three by Congress which includes Amritsar where BJP stalwart Arun Jaitley is all set to lose.
Heaping praise on Bharatiya Janata Party`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, former cop and social worker Kiran Bedi on Friday said that the counry will for the first time get a PM who is well connected with the grouund realities.
