Turkey`s top religious body said on Friday that there are plans to build a mosque in every state university, adding to concerns over what critics say are creeping efforts to force Islamic values on the society.
Making light of a police case
against it for flouting the sound decibel limit laid down by the court for its Dussera rally here, the Shiv Sena Wednesday asked why no action is taken against loudspeakers atop mosques.
There are over 58,000 mosques and
temples which have come up illegally on state-owned land and
the structures which are causing traffic hazard would be
relocated, the state government told the High Court.
