The Indian government has rejected claims made by the Oxford University's wildlife experts that the increased tiger count was a result of flawed methodology for the census conducted in January this year.
A new tiger tracking system will be launched soon, announced the Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar. This system will be launched by The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in collaboration with the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau .
