The Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe commission chairman PL Punia on Sunday dismissed the recent claims made by Union Minister Sushma Swaraj and said that PhD scholar Rohith Vemula, who committed suicide in Hyderabad in January this year, was a Dalit.
