Naxals went on rampage during the first phase of panchayat polls in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday as they looted ballot boxes at several polling stations in insurgency- hit Bastar division but no causality has been reported.
After SEC raised objection over the choice of July 10 as the date for third phase of Panchayat polls, which coincides with Ratha Yatra and holy Ramzan, the West Bengal government on Sunday suggested an alternative date of July 9.
