Senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley Thursday slammed the ruling UPA over the alleged phone-tapping, saying the government has decided to buy sophisticated tapping equipment "which does not respect the constitution".
Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday said it would demand a probe into the Indian Premier League (IPL) controversy and the phone-tapping incident by a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on Monday in the Parliament.
The phone-tapping controversy
snowballed today with Himachal Chief Minister rubbishing allegations of keeping a tab on his political opponent and Union Steel Minister Virbhadra Singh
who accused him of acting like a "spy".
