In a move that has shocked the
friends of molestation victim Ruchika Girhotra, the Central
Administrative Tribunal has restored the pension of former
Haryana DGP S P S Rathore who was convicted in the 1990 case.
A special CBI court here on Thursday asked
the family of Ruchika Girhotra, who was molested by former DGP
SPS Rathore in 1990, to file their replies to the closure
reports filed by the CBI last month in cases against Rathore.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court Tuesday questioned as to how SPS Rathore was promoted to the top
rank of DGP despite the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case
pending against him.
The CBSE has
directed disciplinary action against principal of a school
which expelled Ruchika Girhotra soon after she complained of
molestation by ex-DGP SS Rathore nearly two decades ago.
Deeply hurt by the Supreme
Court order granting bail to SPS Rathore, the father of Ruchika Girhotra Thursday said the disgraced former Haryana DGP should not have been treated as an "ordinary accused".
