The BJP in Uttarakhand today decided to go to people`s court over an alleged scam in SIDCUL land deals which, it alleged, were intended to benefit real estate firms and land mafia.
Ruling Congress in Uttarakhand on Sunday rubbished as "baseless and imaginary" the BJP`s allegations of scam in SIDCUL land deals and rejected the opposition`s demand for a CBI probe.
Uttarakhand High Court stayed a notice issued by an inquiry commission to Alok Kumar, former Managing Director of the State Infrastructure and Industrial Development Corp of Uttarakhand Ltd
in connection with an alleged scam.
