Indian Space Research Organisation successfully launched Indo-French satellite `SARAL` from the spaceport of Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
Ahead of the launch of SARAL, ISRO Chairman K Radhakrishnan today offered prayers at the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara.
The 59-hour countdown for the February 25 launch of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle to put into orbit seven satellites, including Indo-French spacecraft SARAL, commenced at 6.56 AM on Saturday.
