UN chief Ban Ki-moon has asked Pakistan to step up its efforts to tackle terrorism, as he condemned the terror attacks on an airport in Karachi and killing of Shia pilgrims in that country.
The blast occurred at Akhtarabad area in provincial capital Quetta.
According to initial reports, several people were injured in the incident and the bus burst into flames.
UN chief Ban Ki-Moon criticised the recent spate of terrorist attacks in Pakistan and reportedly said that he was “appalled by escalating terrorist violence.”
The suspected bomber rammed his explosives-laden car into the bus that was travelling from Taftan town on the border with Iran to the provincial capital of Quetta.
The banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi has claimed responsibility for a suicide attack on a bus that killed 13 people, most of them Shia pilgrims returning from Iran, in Pakistan`s Quetta city.
