Hearing the bail application of deputy superintendent of police Narendra Amin, accused in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case, the Bombay High Court today said it would not be correct to keep a sick person in prison.
Shah, a close aide of CM Narendra Modi, was arrested by CBI on July 25, 2010, and he had spent over three months in Sabarmati Jail in Ahmedabad.
Amit Shah`s counsel Ram Jethmalani alleged that there were
serious lapses in the probe by the CBI saying it was trying to
protect the police.
Shah, who was Minister of state for home in Modi
government, was arrested by the CBI in Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake
encounter case and is now out on bail.
A special investigating team of
the CBI has started investigating the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake
encounter case which was transferred to it by the Supreme
