Jammu: The security forces on Wednesday afternoon killed a top commander of the Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) after a fierce gunbattle in north Kashmir's Sopore area.
A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist was reportedly killed by Army troops in an encounter in Jammua and Kashmir`s Sopore district in the wee hours of Sunday.
J&K CM Omar Abdullah said he would rather like the infiltration from across the border to stop which would end the need for such encounters.
