The Srinagar-Jammu national highway, which connects Kashmir Valley to the rest of the country, was on Sunday opened for traffic after remaining cut off for two days due to snowfall.
Three persons were killed and seven others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in collided head-on with a truck on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Friday, police sources said.
The Srinagar-Jammu national highway was reopened to traffic Saturday and over a thousand vehicles moved towards their destinations on the road.
The strategic Srinagar-Jammu national highway was opened for one-way traffic on Thursday as the stranded vehicles were allowed to move from Jammu to Srinagar.
