Headley's four-day cross-examination starts March 22

The cross-examination of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist-turned-approver David Coleman Headley in the Mumbai terror attack case will start before a Special Court here from March 22 for four days, a legal official said on Thursday.

SC seeks reply of LeT man on Delhi Police plea in TADA case

Supreme Court on Saturday sought the response of jailed Lashkar-e-Toiba bomb expert Abdul Karim Tunda on an appeal of Delhi Police challenging a lower court order to discharge him in a 1994 TADA case. Tunda, 73, whose name had figured in the list of 20 terrorists who India had sought to be handed over after the 26/11 Mumbai attack, was let off on March 10 last year by a lower court in a case lodged under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA), the Explosive Substance Act, the Arms Act and under section 120(B) (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC.

Road clear for ULFA leader Anup Chetia's release from jail

 ULFA general secretary Anup Chetia was on Wednesday granted bail in the last of the four cases registered against him, paving the way for his release from jail.
