The Railway Board has rolled back a circular under which `Tatkal` ticket holders were given priority while clearing waiting lists over normal reservation ticket holders.
Train mishaps have "consistently declined" and have come down to 77 in 2011-12 from 335 in 2001-02 barring the ones at unmanned level crossings, the government said on Friday.
To reduce heavy rush for e-tickets
during morning hours that often leads to slowing up of the
IRCTC website, the Railways are mulling two separate timings
for opening of tatkal and normal bookings.
