World number one Novak Djokovic won his fourth tournament of the year as he outlasted Czech sixth seed Tomas Berdych 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 on Sunday to lift the Monte Carlo Masters in a final delayed by light rain.
World number four Andy Murray had little trouble dealing with American Donald Young in his opening match at the Miami Open with a 6-4 6-2 victory on Friday. Murray, a two-time winner at Key Biscyane, broke left-hander Young four times as he wrapped up the win in 82 minutes.
A misfiring Rafa Nadal had trouble hitting the mark but the third seeded Spaniard still had enough to beat American Donald Young 6-4 6-2 on Tuesday and advance to the fourth round of the BNP Paribas Open.
Rafael Nadal, who suffered an upset defeat in the Rio Open semi-finals at the weekend, said on Monday he was confident of taking another step towards recovering his best form in Buenos Aires this week.
