Water traces found on dry Martian tropics may force rethink of future explorations

NASA`s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has revealed to scientists slender dark markings - possibly due to salty water - which may force them to rethink their plans about future explorations of the Red Planet.

The high-resolution stereo camera on the European Space Agency`s Mars Express, which completes ten years since launch this June, has mapped nearly 90 percent of Mars` surface.
