Five persons, suspected to be associated with an NGO led by Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane`s son Nitesh, were on Wednesday arrested for allegedly vandalising four Goa-bound tourist buses.
Two days after she was granted bail by a court, the principal of the Christ Church Girls` High School Helen Sarkar on Wednesday alleged that the vandalism in her school was carried out in the presence of the police, which also forced her to resign under the prodding of the mob.
The Bombay High Court today asked
Maharashtra government as to whether it found any evidence of
involvement of top leaders of Shiv Sena, MNS and Congress in
incidents of political vandalism in the state in recent past.
