ACP Vasant Dhoble, who had hit the headlines for his controversial crackdown against bars and restaurants in city, was on Wednesday transferred to the crime branch of the Mumbai police.

Backing Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vasant Dhoble MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Tuesday warned hawkers against holding a rally at Azad Maidan on January 24.
A CID probe was ordered into the death of a 55-year-old roadside hawker during a drive against them in suburban Santacruz here led by ACP Vasant Dhoble, who has been transferred following the incident.
Dhoble will now be ACP at Vakola division in western suburbs of the city.
