Power employees in Punjab under the banner of PSEB Employees Joint Forum will observe a one-day strike on August 28 in protest against the state government and the management for allegedly not resolving their pending issues.
Union Home Ministry, the nerve centre of country`s internal security on Wednesday witnessed a protest by over 200 contractual employees outside the office of a senior official over non-payment of dues.
All shops and establishments,
industrial units, hospitals, educational institutions,
government and semi-government entities in the city will have
to pay their lower level employees wages through cheque.
The state run J&K Roads Transport
Corporation (SRTC) employees Thursday went on strike in support of their demands for higher wages enhancement of retirement age and adoption of rules on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh SRTC.
