Central security agencies have asked police to tighten security around Hurriyat leaders especially Abdul Gani Bhat amidst terrorists attack reports.
Senior Hurriyat Conference leader Abdul Gani Bhat on Wednesday made a U-turn saying he never termed the resolutions as "outdated and impracticable".
The rival supporters hurled furniture at each other, but no one was injured in the clashes.
Separatist leader Sajjad Lone threw his weight behind ex-Hurriyat chairman Abdul Gani Bhat.
Abdul Gani Bhat has created a flutter by saying two separatist leaders and his brother were killed by "our own people" and not security agencies.
