Ahead of the first session of the new Lok Sabha, Congress and its allies on Tuesday held a meeting to chalk out the floor coordination strategy in Parliament where BJP has secured majority on its own in the Lower House but is in a minority in the Upper House.
UPA allies supporting the government from outside expressed their reservations over the manner in which the issue of the ordinance on convicted lawmakers was handled with Rahul Gandhi publicly slamming it as "complete nonsense".
The BJP on Saturday claimed that the
Congress and its allies were using black money for campaiging
in five states going for Assembly polls and said it would
lodge a complaint with the Election Commission in this regard.
Government on Thursday said the UPA allies were not covered in the reshuffle of the Union Council of Ministers in view of the upcoming Assembly elections in various states and an expansion can take place after the Budget session.
