In a move to ensure safe custody of tapped telephone conversations, government has amended an agreement with telecom operators under which they will have to be connected to CMS being set up for interception of all telecom and Internet services.
The government is ready to move fresh amendments to the Food Security Bill to address some concerns of the opposition parties who have proposed 265 changes to the legislation, informed sources said Wednesday.
The National Advisory Council on Wednesday agreed to make as many as 49 amendments to the Prevention of Communal Violence Bill, including the one which created doubts about Centre-state relations while dealing with such violence.
