Bollywood actor Aamir Khan today expressed sadness over the trend of political parties giving tickets to candidates with criminal background considering their winning ability, but expressed hope that people at large would stop voting for criminals.
Supporting the demand for a strong Lokpal Bill, civil society members on Monday said there was need for other Bills like the Whistleblower protection bill to fight corruption and ensure a transparent and accountable government.
