Early human ancestors spent longer time on trees than previously thought, remaining very active climbers till much later, a new study has found.
The fossil foot did not belong to a member of “Lucy’s” species, Australopithecus afarensis, the famous early human ancestor.
Lucy, it turns out, had company -- another prehuman that also walked but spent more of its time in trees.
