Observing that many skeletons can
tumble out if it starts digging into the matter, the Supreme
Court today dismissed Lt Gen (retd) Avadesh Prakash`s petition
challenging the Court of Inquiry (COI) ordered against him in
a land scam case.
Holding media responsible for "sensationalsing" the land scam in Sukhna Cantonment in West Bengal, Indian Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor on Thursday said he had consulted the defence minister before taking action against his top Generals.
The Armed Forces Tribunal on Friday
issued notice to the army to produce the findings of the Court
of Inquiry (COI) in the Sukna land scam and raised a number of
questions over the role of Lt Gen Avadesh Prakash in the case.
