Bajaj Auto today said its net profit jumped to nearly three-fold to Rs 475.14 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2009, over the same period last year.
Bajaj Auto, once known for its scooters which revolutionised the two-wheeler market in the country, on Wednesday said it will exit the segment by the end of the fiscal to focus exclusively on motorcycles.
Aiming to expand its portfolio in
executive segment motorcycles, Bajaj Auto on Thursday said it will
launch Pulsar in the sub-150 cc category early next month.
Bajaj Auto is planning to set up an assembly plant in a free trade zone in Manaus in Brazil next fiscal.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed
TVS Motor Company to manufacture and sell its 125-cc `Flame`
motorbike that sports twin-spark plugs, the technology for
which Bajaj Auto claims to hold patent.
The Supreme Court on Monday posted a
dispute between Chennai-based two-wheeler company TVS Motor
Company and Bajaj Auto over rights to twin-spark plugs
technology to September 15 for final disposal.
