Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced concession of 50 per cent in fares of Haryana Roadways buses to elderly persons of the state above the age of 65 years from January 1, 2014.
Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday hiked the fare of various types of stage and contract carriers in the state by 8 to 14 per cent.
Uttarakhand Roadways Corporation
has increased the fares of its hi-tech and ordinary buses by
29 per cent, officials today said.
DMDK workers observed fast in other parts of the state
including Cuddalore and Karur.
The Shiv Sena-led Brihanmumbai
Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) on Friday deferred the
decision on the hike of bus tickets as the Sena-BJP combine
will go for bandh over fuel price hike on Monday.
