Accusing the Centre of discriminating Bihar in fund allocation for construction of rural roads, state government Tuesday threatened to put up boards of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the proposed roads to highlight that work could not be taken up due to absence of central funds.
The Centre has transferred Rs 1,284.05 crore in funds to state implementing agencies outside the state budget of the Nagaland government during the fiscal 2011-12, but there was no data on how much was actually spent.
Alleging that funds meant
for central schemes were being misused by the Uttar Pradesh
government, Congress star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Saturday
exhorted electorates to realise the importance of their vote.
Mounting a scathing attack
on BJD government in Orissa, Congress on Friday accused it of
"misleading" people by alleging negligence by Centre to hide
its corruption, inefficiency and inability to spend 37% of the Central funds.
