Former IAF chief SP Tyagi, a key accused in Rs 3,600 crore VVIP helicopter deal scam, has been allowed by a Delhi court to go to Vietnam to attend a meet on nuclear disarmament.
CBI on Tuesday analysed fresh documents received from Italy as it prepared to examine former IAF Chief S P Tyagi and 10 others named in its Preliminary Enquiry (PE) to probe allegations of kickbacks in the VVIP chopper deal.
It has emerged that changes were made in the qualitative requirements in the tender in 2003, when George Fernandes was the Defence Min in the NDA govt.
BJP insisted that the Congress-led UPA government give an explanation about the reported anomalies on VVIP helicopter deal.
