Filing of nomination papers for 46 civic bodies, including six municipal corporations, in Rajasthan for which elections are scheduled to be held on November 22 ended on Tuesday, an official of State Election Commission (RSEC) said.
The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Wednesday won civic body elections in two Odisha towns. Of 15 wards in the notified area council of Titilagarh in Bolangir district, about 330 km from here, the BJD won 14, an official said.
Congress, which did not win a single seat in the civic polls, issued a show cause notice to 100 party leaders, including state minister Dinesh Aggarwal, for allegedly working against its official nominees.
