BJP today urged the Petroleum Ministry to ensure supply of full quantity of cooking gas to consumers and fixing aluminum seal on cylinders amid reports that the bottles being delivered to consumers weighed much less than the prescribed 14.2 kg.
Cooking gas (LPG) distributors threatened to go on strike on October 1 against the government decision to restrict supply of subsidised gas to 6 cylinders per household in a year saying they cannot police the multiple rate policy.
The Delhi government`s decision
to withdraw subsidy on LPG, leading to a hike of Rs 40 in
cooking gas, has not gone well with the women`s wing of the
Congress party, which on Tuesday demanded a reversal of the decision.
