With a view of ensuring smooth and peaceful transit of kawad pilgrims, traffic plying on Delhi-Haridwar national highway has been diverted till July 25 to prevent any untoward incident.
The Delhi-Haridwar national highway would be closed for traffic from July 30 to August 5 to ensure smooth movement of `Kawad` pilgrims during their yatra.
An engineer was looted by three unidentified men on Delhi-Haridwar National Highway here, police said on Wednesday.
Traffic on the Delhi-Haridwar National Highway, which was diverted for over a week, resumed on Saturday after the `Kanwar yatra` concluded.
