The new academic session in Delhi University (DU) began on Monday for for lakhs of students begins, putting an end to the row over the Four Year Undergraduate programme (FYUP).
In a relief to over 2.7 lakh students, Delhi University will finally come out with its first cut-off list tomorrow for admissions to the courses under the three-year format.
Delhi University received applications from over 1.9 lakh students for its four-year undergraduate programme till Wednesday, the ninth day of admission process for 54,000 seats in 61 colleges, an official statement said.
For the past few days Delhi University was witnessing a range of protest against its four-year undergraduate programme but on Wednesday, some students came out in its support.
Delhi University will appoint `university observers` so that the undergraduate admission process is carried out without any hindrance, officials said Wednesday.
The process of admissions to the
colleges of Delhi University began with the sale of
around 2,000 information bulletins on the first day and
registration of over 1600 students for reserved categories.
