Air India reduces free baggage allowance by 5 kg

National carrier Air India Friday said it will lower free baggage allowance (FBA) by five kg on economy class of all its domestic flights from May 13 and will impose a flat rate of Rs 250 per kg for luggage over the FBA.

Air India would lower the free baggage allowance from 20 to 15 kgs on the domestic sector and start charging a flat rate of about Rs 200-250 per kilo on excess baggage from next week, airline sources said Monday.
