Hockey India`s general secretary Narender Batra said they are planning to take strong disciplinary action against Sandeep Singh and Sardara Singh for abruptly leaving the national camp, currently underway in Bangalore.
Sports Minister Ajay Maken said that the government is looking into the objections raised by FIH on temporary power-sharing formula between Hockey India and the Indian Hockey Federation to run the game in the country.
Calling the working agreement between Hockey India and the Indian Hockey Federation a "bizarre live-in relationship", IOA acting President Vijay Kumar Malhotra said two federations for one discipline will never be accepted.
The government issued an ultimatum to Hockey India and Indian Hockey Federation to merge by July 25, failing which the Sports Ministry would take a decision on its own and inform the Supreme Court about it.
