Lokayukta police on Tuesday issued alert to all immigration authorities to detain Arvind Joshi and his wife Tinoo, both IAS officers who were dismissed from service following a charge sheet filed against them in a disproportionate assets case, as police could not trace and arrest the couple as directed earlier by a special court.
A special court here has issued an arrest warrant against terminated Madhya Pradesh IAS couple Tinoo and Arvind Joshi and sent his two NRI sisters besides six others allegedly involved in the Rs 42 crore disproportionate assets case to jail.
The special Lokayukta court has extended the date for filing of replies by suspended Madhya Pradesh IAS couple Arvind Joshi and Tinoo Joshi and 17 others, on a proposal to confiscate wealth and properties seized from the tainted couple.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has
decided to provisionally attach the properties of suspended
IAS couple, Arvind and Tinu Joshi, who had allegedly amassed
assets worth Rs 350 crore unlawfully, officials said on Sunday.
The income tax officials in the two-day long raid at the residence of IAS officer couple -- Arvind Joshi and Tinu Joshi, besides recovering Rs 3 crore in cash, also stumbled upon some foreign currency notes.
