Bombay High Court on Monday slammed municipal bodies in Maharashtra for not filing compliance reports of its earlier order asking them to take steps to remove illegal hoardings, banners and posters in their respective areas.
Calling for the municipal corporations` drive against illegal hoardings to be sustained, the Bombay High Court on Friday said awareness needs to be created among political leaders.
Toughening its stand on illegal hoardings mushrooming across the state, the Bombay High Court Wednesday directed municipal corporations and district councils to remove them within a day.
