Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today said the state government was awaiting Supreme Court`s verdict in a case relating to illegal constructions at Palace Grounds in Bangalore.
The district authorities carried out a massive demolition drive razing 20 illegal structures along the Pune-Banglore Highway.
The Bombay High Court on Friday asked the BMC to evolve some internal correctional mechanism to deal with such matters expeditiously.
The Bombay High Court was hearing a PIL that alleged rampant corruption prevailing in the corporation.
The demolition action was undertaken in Jahangirpuri,
Burari, Azadpur, Adarsh Nagar and Majlis Park of Civil Lines

demolished 350 unauthorised structures in suburban Malad.
