Since its launching from Cape Canaveral, Fla., on August 25, 2003, the Spitzer has been wowing us with its infrared eyes by sending wonderful images it has captured of the universe.
The observation was led by Gerd Weigelt, a director of the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, Germany.
NASA plans next month to launch a space telescope that will scan the heavens for the infrared glow of celestial objects never seen because they are too dim, dusty or distant, scientists said on Tuesday.
