The Indian Navy commissioned its largest off shore patrol vessel INS Saryu for maritime surveillance around Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The 105-metre INS Saryu, built at Goa Shipyard at the port town of Vasco, will be commissioned and handed over to naval authorities on January 21.
The indigenously designed new 105 metre-class warship, INS Saryu was on Friday handed over to the Indian Navy by the Goa Shipyards Limited (GSL).
