With most parts of Jammu and Kashmir experiencing fresh spell of snowfall, authorities on Monday issued a high and medium-danger avalanche warning for higher parts of the state.
Leh, in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, witnessed the coldest night of the season so far with the mercury plummeting to minus 12.6 degrees Celsius as the cold wave continues in the Valley where most parts registered sub-zero temperatures.
Jammu and Kashmir continued to be in the grip of cold wave as Leh in Ladakh region recorded a low of minus 12 degrees Celsius Friday night.
