Kabul`s police chief resigned on Sunday, a spokesman said, after the Afghan capital was hit by at least nine militant attacks in the last two weeks with foreign compounds, embassy vehicles and US troops among those targeted.
Afghan officials vowed on Sunday to investigate how three suicide attackers penetrated one of the most secure districts of Kabul, as about 100 protesters rallied at the restaurant where 21 people were killed.
Clarifying that there were no Indian casualties, India Wednesday said it was closely monitoring the situation in Kabul after eight people were killed and 17 injured in suicide bombings and a gunbattle in the Afghan capital.
