Pakistani national Khalil Chishty was released on bail by the SC and subsequently returned home late Tuesday after spending 20 years in jail in Ajmer.
India`s SC on Monday granted bail to Mohammad Khalil Chishty who is undergoing life imprisonment in a jail in Ajmer.
Advocating peaceful relations between India and Pakistan, he said, "There should be roses across the border not forces."
Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao on Thursday said that she was hopeful of the resolution of the case of 80-year-old Pakistani prisoner Khalil Chishty, lodged in a jail in Ajmer in connection with a murder case.

A Supreme Court judge has written to PM seeking his intervention for release of Khalil Chishty.
The move by the judge did not appear to go down well with the main opposition party BJP.
