Jammu and Kashmir unit of CPI(M) on Friday advocated for restoration of autonomy to the state, saying the Kashmir issue is essentially a political problem and needs a political solution.
Jammu and Kashmir unit of CPI(M) today expressed concern over the "acute shortage of doctors and life saving drugs" in hospitals and urged the government to ensure better medical facilities to the people.
Expressing concern over the recent killing of a panchayat member in the state, J&K CPI(M) said there is the need to keep panchayat activities insulated from political issues.

appointment of its Chairman.
