Three persons, including a woman,
were shot dead by suspected Maoists in West Midnapore
district, while there was an encounter in Bankura district
amidst the 24-hour shutdown called by the ultras on Monday.
A high alert has been
sounded in border districts of Orissa in the wake of Maoists
giving a call for a two-day `Bharat bandh` from July 7 against
the killing of top leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad in
Maoists blew up a
