A police patrol had a narrow escape today after its two vehicles passed barely seconds before Maoists triggered a blast on NH-75 in Latehar district.
The engine`s driver, assistant driver and one RPF constable were injured in the attack.
With two more troopers succumbing to their injuries, the casualty figure in a Maoist landmine attack on a convoy of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Chhattisgarh has risen to seven, police said on Wednesday.
Ignoring a boycott call by Maoists, voters queued up outside polling booths for the final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections in 26 constituencies.
