Indian-origin doctor in Australia, Jayant Patel, correctly diagnosed the cause of bleeding in a patient who died after surgery, a court has heard.
Patel is due to stand trial for the alleged manslaughter of Mervyn Morris, 75, who died three weeks after the former Bundaberg Hospital surgeon operated on him in June, 2003.
Patel had performed surgery on Morris after allegedly incorrectly diagnosing him with diverticulosis in 2003.
